Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work Spanish gondolas On A Canal, Venice by José Gallegos. The price achieved of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 29,360.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by José Gallegos have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Choir of St. Mark'S, Venice in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 84,000.00 (€ 124,742.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2016 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Spanish gondolas On A Canal, Venice von José Gallegos zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 29.360,13) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 18.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von José Gallegos auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Choir of St. Mark'S, Venice im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 84.000,00 (€ 124.742,63).
