Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2008 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work An Interior Of An Inn With A Peasant Smoking A Pipe And A Soldier Drinking, Other Figures Smoking And Drinking In The Background by Joos van Craesbeeck. The price achieved of EUR 7,450.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Joos van Craesbeeck have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fröhliche Gesellschaft in July 2021 with an auction result of EUR 45,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2008 führte Sothebys in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit An Interior Of An Inn With A Peasant Smoking A Pipe And A Soldier Drinking, Other Figures Smoking And Drinking In The Background von Joos van Craesbeeck zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 7.450,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Joos van Craesbeeck auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fröhliche Gesellschaft im Juli 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 45.000,00.
