In the Important Old Master Paintings and European Works of Art auction, the work A Peasant Grimacing, His Arm In A Sling sold for USD 26,400.00 (€ 20,310.82) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joos van Craesbeeck - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fröhliche Gesellschaft, which sold at auction in July 2021 for EUR 45,000.00.
