Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2005 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures, which included the work Desire and Wisdom by Joop Frohwein. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 540.00 (€ 780.06) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Joop Frohwein have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in January 2005 the work The Temptress was auctioned for GBP 780.00 (€ 1,126.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Desire and Wisdom von Joop Frohwein zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 540,00 (€ 780,06) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Joop Frohwein konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Januar 2005 die Arbeit The Temptress für GBP 780,00 (€ 1.126,75) versteigert.
