Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jonathan Sainsbury could be acquired at Christies in London in December 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Astor Collection from Tillypronie, Aberdeenshire auction, the work Sketchbook 2007-2008, including studies of deer, blackgame, boxing hares, pheasant, partridge, red grouse and fox changed hands for GBP 625.00 (€ 703.35) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Jonathan Sainsbury have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Seashaped': Blackbirds Singing On Hawthorn Branch in December 2017 with an auction result of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,345.43).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
