In October this year Bruun Rasmussen held the auction Contemporary art, which included the work “No Nietzsche”, 2006 by Jonathan Meese. The »bidding war« ended at DKK 14,500.00 (€ 1,942.85), 45% above the estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jonathan Meese achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Agamemnon's Hähnchenbesteck in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 132,500.00 (€ 190,278.72).
Schätzpreis um 45 % übertroffen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Bruun Rasmussen die Auktion Contemporary art durch, in der auch die Arbeit “No Nietzsche”, 2006 von Jonathan Meese zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von DKK 14.500,00 (€ 1.942,85) und damit 45% über dem Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jonathan Meese erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Agamemnon's Hähnchenbesteck im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 132.500,00 (€ 190.278,72).
