A top price for Jonathan Meese
In October 2007 Christies in London held the auction Post War and Contemporary ArtEvening Sale, which included the work Agamemnon's Hähnchenbesteck by Jonathan Meese. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 120,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 132,500.00 (€ 190,278.72). With this result, Agamemnon's Hähnchenbesteck is even the most expensive work of art by Jonathan Meese that we have observed at auctions so far.
