Auction result fails to reach estimate
In October this year a collector was able to acquire the work “Colonel Iverson”, 2007 by Jonathan Meese for DKK 2,100.00 (€ 281.38). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary art at Bruun Rasmussen and was even lower than the DKK 3,000.00 estimate set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jonathan Meese achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Agamemnon's Hähnchenbesteck in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 132,500.00 (€ 190,278.72).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Im Oktober diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit “Colonel Iverson”, 2007 von Jonathan Meese für DKK 2.100,00 (€ 281,38) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary art bei Bruun Rasmussen erzielt und lag noch unterhalb des vom Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreises von DKK 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jonathan Meese erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Agamemnon's Hähnchenbesteck im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 132.500,00 (€ 190.278,72).
