Auction result fails to reach estimate
When the work Face by Jon Gislason was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in October this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously set the estimate at DKK 3,000.00, but this failed to be met - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 1,000.00 (€ 133.99). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jon Gislason achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work “Himmelstigen”, 2004–2005 in January 2024 with an auction result of DKK 2,600.00 (€ 2,272.33).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Als die Arbeit Face von Jon Gislason im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit DKK 3.000,00 angegeben, den dieses Werk bei seiner Versteigerung leider nicht erreichen konnte - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 1.000,00 (€ 133,99) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jon Gislason erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit “Himmelstigen”, 2004–2005 im Januar 2024 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 2.600,00 (€ 2.272,33).
