Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Trucksville Shadows by Jon Carsman was sold in the The House Sale auction at Christies in New York in October 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,020.00 (€ 798.56) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jon Carsman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Haunted Flickerings, which sold at auction in September 2011 for USD 3,500.00 (€ 2,602.42).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Trucksville Shadows von Jon Carsman wurde im Oktober 2006 in der Auktion The House Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.020,00 (€ 798,56) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Jon Carsman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Haunted Flickerings beobachtet, die im September 2011 für USD 3.500,00 (€ 2.602,42) versteigert wurde.
