Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by John Würtz was sold in the Modern art and design auction at Bruun Rasmussen in June this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of DKK 4,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of DKK 4,200.00 (€ 563.85) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Würtz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in October this year for SEK 20,000.00 (€ 1,693.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von John Würtz wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern art and design bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von DKK 4.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von DKK 4.200,00 (€ 563,85) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von John Würtz mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Oktober diesen Jahres für SEK 20.000,00 (€ 1.693,79) versteigert wurde.
