In October 2010 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work The fashion designer by John Wright. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 875.00 (€ 1,008.89), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Wright achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Captain Gilbert Heathcote, facing left in blue coat with gold buttons and gold epaulettes, white waistcoat and black stock in May 2002 with an auction result of GBP 6,572.50 (€ 10,292.62).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit The fashion designer von John Wright zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 875,00 (€ 1.008,89) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Wright erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Captain Gilbert Heathcote, facing left in blue coat with gold buttons and gold epaulettes, white waistcoat and black stock im Mai 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.572,50 (€ 10.292,62).
