In September 2002 Christies in London held the auction British and Victorian Pictures, which included the work Portrait of Marie Louise McMullin, neé Lenferna de Laresta, seated three-quarter-length, in a black dress and red shawl by John Wood. The price achieved of GBP 998.75 (€ 1,587.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00.
