Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2002 a collector was able to acquire the work St. Giorgio Maggiore from the lagoon by John Wharlton Bunney for GBP 352.50 (€ 557.59). This price was achieved in the auction British and Continental Watercolours and Drawings at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by John Wharlton Bunney have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Florence, From The South-East in September 2021 with an auction result of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,090.37).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2002 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit St. Giorgio Maggiore from the lagoon von John Wharlton Bunney für GBP 352,50 (€ 557,59) erwerben.
