Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 94.00 (€ 152.09) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25.00 – 200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John W. King - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The portico of the Taylor Institute, Oxford, which sold at auction in September 2001 for GBP 211.50 (€ 341.48).
