In May 2007 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art, Wildlife & Dogs, which included the work Springer spaniels on the moor by John Trickett. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 6,600.00 (€ 9,712.35), 32% above the upper estimate. Other works by John Trickett have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 10,200.00 (€ 15,009.99) in May 2007 for the work Ready, willing and able.
