Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Ready, willing and able by John Trickett was auctioned at Christies in London in February this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 3,528.00 (€ 4,024.16). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Trickett - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ready, willing and able, which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 10,200.00 (€ 15,009.99).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Ready, willing and able von John Trickett im Februar diesen Jahres bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 3.528,00 (€ 4.024,16) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von John Trickett mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ready, willing and able beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für GBP 10.200,00 (€ 15.009,99) versteigert wurde.
