The work A young girl picking flowers beside a river by John Templeton Lucas was sold in the British and Continental Pictures auction at Christies in London in April 2006. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 660.00 (€ 952.57), 65% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by John Templeton Lucas; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot "The War Map" sold at auction in February 2010 with the realized price of SEK 12,500.00 (€ 1,288.43).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 660,00 (€ 952,57) und damit 65% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von John Templeton Lucas; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit "The War Map" im Februar 2010 mit dem Hammerpreis von SEK 12.500,00 (€ 1.288,43).
