In October 2012 Christies in London held the auction Aynhoe Park - A Modern Grand Tour, which included the work Untitled (Aynhoe Park), 2011 by John Swannell. The auction ended at the price of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,243.32), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Swannell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fine Lines (Lindy Christensen and Debbie Moore) in October this year with an auction result of USD 13,970.00 (€ 13,219.15).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Aynhoe Park - A Modern Grand Tour durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Aynhoe Park), 2011 von John Swannell zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.243,32) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Swannell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fine Lines (Lindy Christensen and Debbie Moore) im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 13.970,00 (€ 13.219,15).
