Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Magician'S Caravan by John Shinnors was sold in the British & Irish Art auction at Sothebys in London in May 2012. The price achieved of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 7,475.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by John Shinnors have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Light Kites Over Island in October 2006 with an auction result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 44,822.67).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 7.475,74) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Shinnors auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Light Kites Over Island im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 44.822,67).
