Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2006 Christies in Melbourne held the auction Australian, International & Contemporary Paintings Part II, which included the work The Road Home by John Samuel Loxton. Here, the upper estimate of AUD 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 1,553.50 (€ 934.39). Other works by John Samuel Loxton have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of AUD 1,997.50 (€ 1,119.34) in August 2002 for the work September in the Mountains.

Im April 2006 führte Christies in Melbourne die Auktion Australian, International & Contemporary Paintings Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Road Home von John Samuel Loxton zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von AUD 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für AUD 1.553,50 (€ 934,39) einen neuen Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von John Samuel Loxton haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von AUD 1.997,50 (€ 1.119,34) im August 2002 für die Arbeit September in the Mountains beobachtet.
