Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work Seagull Over Waves by John Pawle for GBP 264.00 (€ 385.35). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century British Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Pawle - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rue de la Paix, which sold at auction in March 2000 for GBP 920.00 (€ 1,530.00).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2006 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Seagull Over Waves von John Pawle für GBP 264,00 (€ 385,35) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von John Pawle mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rue de la Paix beobachtet, die im März 2000 für GBP 920,00 (€ 1.530,00) versteigert wurde.
