Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Essex Farmland Near Wormingford by John Nash was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in April last year. The price achieved of GBP 1,147.50 (€ 1,368.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Nash achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Window In Bucks in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 375,000.00 (€ 440,528.40).
