Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'Third Of May' United Field Painting Ii by John Noel Smith was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2007. The price achieved of GBP 12,000.00 (€ 17,658.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Noel Smith - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ogham V, which sold at auction in October 2006 for GBP 36,000.00 (€ 53,787.21).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.000,00 (€ 17.658,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von John Noel Smith mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ogham V beobachtet, die im Oktober 2006 für GBP 36.000,00 (€ 53.787,21) versteigert wurde.
