Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2004 Christies in London held the auction Maritime Pictures, which included the work Wanted a breeze; Off the Isle of Arran by John Mogford. The price achieved of GBP 3,585.00 (€ 5,378.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Other works by John Mogford have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2008 the work Cockle gatherers on the Cornish coast was auctioned for GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,281.24).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.585,00 (€ 5.378,82) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben worden.
