Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 625.00 (€ 760.06) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Millington - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Blackfriars Bridge with St. Paul's in the distance, which sold at auction in May 2005 for GBP 1,080.00 (€ 1,594.42).
