The work Triton riding on a seahorse by John Lundqvist was sold in the Important Spring Sale auction at Bukowski in Stockholm in June 2021. The price achieved of SEK 22,000.00 (€ 2,168.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as SEK 20,000.00 – 25,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Triton riding on a seahorse is the most expensive artwork by John Lundqvist that we have observed at auctions so far.
