The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,495.00 (€ 2,446.45), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by John Lewis Brown have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Couple À Cheval Chassant Au Faucon in June 2010 with an auction result of EUR 14,281.00.

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.495,00 (€ 2.446,45) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Lewis Brown auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Couple À Cheval Chassant Au Faucon im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 14.281,00.
