Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Irish Art, which included the work Three Cows In A Pile by John Kelly. The price achieved of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 13,472.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by John Kelly have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Three Cows in a Pile, 2014 in August last year with an auction result of AUD 141,450.00 (€ 96,492.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Three Cows In A Pile von John Kelly zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 11.875,00 (€ 13.472,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Kelly auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Three Cows in a Pile, 2014 im August letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 141.450,00 (€ 96.492,37).
