Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Dobell'S Cow And Mitchell Bomber II (Diptych) by John Kelly was sold in the Australian, International & Contemporary Paintings Part II auction at Christies in Melbourne in April 2006. Here, the upper estimate of AUD 40,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 41,825.00 (€ 25,156.62). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Kelly - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Three Cows in a Pile, 2014, which sold at auction in August last year for AUD 141,450.00 (€ 96,492.37).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Dobell'S Cow And Mitchell Bomber II (Diptych) von John Kelly wurde im April 2006 in der Auktion Australian, International & Contemporary Paintings Part II bei Christies in Melbourne versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von AUD 40.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für AUD 41.825,00 (€ 25.156,62) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von John Kelly mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Three Cows in a Pile, 2014 beobachtet, die im August letzten Jahres für AUD 141.450,00 (€ 96.492,37) versteigert wurde.
