Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bowled by John Kelly was sold in the Australian, International & Contemporary Paintings Part II auction at Christies in Melbourne in April 2006. The price achieved of AUD 23,900.00 (€ 14,375.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by John Kelly have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Three Cows in a Pile, 2014 in August last year with an auction result of AUD 141,450.00 (€ 96,492.37).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 23.900,00 (€ 14.375,21) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden.
