Sold at the lower estimate price
In October 2018 Bukowski in Stockholm held the auction Rolf Schmitz Collection H056, which included the work "Gamla Slussen Trollhättan 1921" (The Old Lock Trollhättan Canal 1921) by John Jon-And. The result of SEK 80,000.00 (€ 7,716.20) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of SEK 80,000.00 – 100,000.00. Admittedly, works by John Jon-And have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "Slussen" (The lock, Trollhättan) in October 2012 with an auction result of SEK 480,000.00 (€ 55,823.43).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2018 führte Bukowski in Stockholm die Auktion Rolf Schmitz Collection H056 durch, in der auch die Arbeit "Gamla Slussen Trollhättan 1921" (The Old Lock Trollhättan Canal 1921) von John Jon-And zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von SEK 80.000,00 (€ 7.716,20) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 80.000,00 – 100.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Jon-And auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit "Slussen" (The lock, Trollhättan) im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 480.000,00 (€ 55.823,43).
