Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Maryland Yellowthroats by John James Audubon was sold in the American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture auction at Sothebys in New York in April 2013. It achieved a price of USD 118,750 (€ 90,181), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 19%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John James Audubon achieve.
