Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Barn Owl by John James Audubon was auctioned at Christies in New York in May this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 30,000 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 32,760 (€ 30,528). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John James Audubon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work in June 2018 with an auction result of USD 9,650,000 (€ 8,264,109).
