Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Young Anglers by John Henry Mole was sold in the British & Continental Watercolours including Original Book auction at Christies in London in December 2003. The price achieved of GBP 998.75 (€ 1,414.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Henry Mole - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Two children with a dog, on a coastal path, Devon, which sold at auction in March 2001 for GBP 3,290.00 (€ 5,308.74).
