Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two children by the sea by John Henderson was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2005. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 5,040.00 (€ 7,440.62) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Henderson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Type, which sold at auction in July 2019 for USD 17,500.00 (€ 15,723.27).

Die Arbeit Two children by the sea von John Henderson kam im Mai 2005 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 5.040,00 (€ 7.440,62) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von John Henderson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Type beobachtet, die im Juli 2019 für USD 17.500,00 (€ 15.723,27) versteigert wurde.
