Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled; and a companion work Horizontal Composition 7 by John Harrison Levee was auctioned at Christies in New York in October 2010. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,125.00 (€ 809.70) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Harrison Levee achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in October 2021 with an auction result of USD 16,380.00 (€ 14,179.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled; and a companion work Horizontal Composition 7 von John Harrison Levee kam im Oktober 2010 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 1.125,00 (€ 809,70) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Harrison Levee erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 16.380,00 (€ 14.179,36).
