In the The Marine Sale auction, the work Coastal view with sailing vessels near a harbour town sold for GBP 2,167.50 (€ 2,419.66) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by John H. Wilson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Street Car Scene in October this year with an auction result of USD 12,800.00 (€ 12,112.04).

Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John H. Wilson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Street Car Scene im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 12.800,00 (€ 12.112,04).
