Auction result well in line with expectations
The work WE GAVE A PARTY FOR THE GODS AND THE GODS ALL CAME by John Giorno was sold in the Contemporary Art auction at Bonhams in London in April 2021. The price achieved of GBP 5,100.00 (€ 5,866.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by John Giorno have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work I AM WAITING IN LINE WITH MY GROCERIES AND I WANT TO GET AWAY WITHOUT INCIDENT in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 37,500.00 (€ 33,374.87).
