Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2000 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS, which included the work Ye Landynge of Brutus in Britain B.C.?; and The Phoenecians buy tin of the ancient Britons by John Fulleylove. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 25.00 – 200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 58.75 (€ 98.31) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Fulleylove achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Virgin's fountain, Nazareth in June 2004 with an auction result of GBP 2,868.00 (€ 4,268.44).

Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 25,00 – 200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 58,75 (€ 98,31) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
