Auction result well in line with expectations
In June this year Bonhams in London held the auction Travel & Exploration Sale, which included the work The Great Mosque at Tiberias with the Lake of Galilee beyond by John Fulleylove. It changed hands for a price of GBP 960.00 (€ 1,117.27) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 800.00 – 1,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Fulleylove - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Virgin's fountain, Nazareth, which sold at auction in June 2004 for GBP 2,868.00 (€ 4,268.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Travel & Exploration Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Great Mosque at Tiberias with the Lake of Galilee beyond von John Fulleylove zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 960,00 (€ 1.117,27) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von John Fulleylove mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Virgin's fountain, Nazareth beobachtet, die im Juni 2004 für GBP 2.868,00 (€ 4.268,44) versteigert wurde.
