Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2003 Christies in London held the auction British & Continental Watercolours including Original Book, which included the work Theatre Of Herodes Atticus, Athens by John Fulleylove. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 700.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 763.75 (€ 1,081.75). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Fulleylove - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Virgin's fountain, Nazareth, which sold at auction in June 2004 for GBP 2,868.00 (€ 4,268.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion British & Continental Watercolours including Original Book durch, in der auch die Arbeit Theatre Of Herodes Atticus, Athens von John Fulleylove zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 700,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 763,75 (€ 1.081,75) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von John Fulleylove mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Virgin's fountain, Nazareth beobachtet, die im Juni 2004 für GBP 2.868,00 (€ 4.268,44) versteigert wurde.
