The work Coastal Scene by John Frost was sold in the California Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August this year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 9,600.00 (€ 8,856.91), 37% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Frost achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Pool at Sundown in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 275,075.00 (€ 236,176.70).

Die Arbeit Coastal Scene von John Frost wurde im August diesen Jahres in der Auktion California Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 9.600,00 (€ 8.856,91) und damit 37% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Frost erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Pool at Sundown im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 275.075,00 (€ 236.176,70).
