Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work The Brigantine Raven In Full Sail Off A Northern European Port by John Frederick Loos was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2013, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,458.97). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Frederick Loos - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The ship Comet, which sold at auction in August 2017 for USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,157.10).

Als die Arbeit The Brigantine Raven In Full Sail Off A Northern European Port von John Frederick Loos im Juni 2013 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.458,97) den Besitzer.
