A top price for John Fitzmarshall - as previously expected
The work Cherries on a branch; and Plums on a branch by John Fitzmarshall was sold in the Victorian & Traditionalist Pictures auction at Christies in London in September 2007. The price achieved of GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,867.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Cherries on a branch; and Plums on a branch is the most expensive artwork by John Fitzmarshall that we have observed at auctions so far.
