Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Composition, Circa 1933-1935 by John Ferren was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art auction at Artcurial in March 2012. The price achieved of EUR 3,604.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Ferren achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in October 2007 with an auction result of USD 109,000.00 (€ 75,338.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Composition, Circa 1933-1935 von John Ferren wurde im März 2012 in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art bei Artcurial versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.604,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Ferren erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 109.000,00 (€ 75.338,68).
