Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2010 a collector was able to acquire the work Bo Derek, March 1980 by John Derek for USD 1,750.00 (€ 1,318.86). This price was achieved in the auction The Year of the Rabbit: The Playboy Collection at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by John Derek have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bo Derek, 1980 in December 2003 with an auction result of USD 11,950.00 (€ 9,486.39).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2010 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Bo Derek, March 1980 von John Derek für USD 1.750,00 (€ 1.318,86) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Year of the Rabbit: The Playboy Collection bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Derek auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bo Derek, 1980 im Dezember 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 11.950,00 (€ 9.486,39).
