The work Nutcracker by John Chamberlain was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2018. It changed hands for a price of USD 5,534,300.00 (€ 4,742,330.76) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 4,000,000.00 – 6,000,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Nutcracker is the most expensive artwork by John Chamberlain that we have observed at auctions so far.
