Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction to be immediately followed by the Impressionist & Modern Art Evening Sale, which included the work Gramm by John Chamberlain. The price achieved of GBP 668,750.00 (€ 761,581.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600,000.00 – 800,000.00. Admittedly, works by John Chamberlain have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nutcracker in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 5,534,300.00 (€ 4,742,330.76).
