In the American Paintings and Sculpture auction, the work Still Life with Fruit changed hands for USD 2,350.00 (€ 2,769.27) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Other works by John Giovanni Califano have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in September 2004 by the work In From The Catch at USD 6,572.50 (€ 5,293.15).
